Since we lost the daylight savings time, my mtn biking after work takes me into the night hours. I have a 7-year-old "Nightstick" double head-light that seems to work ok, but the battery runs dry quickly.
Was wondering if any other riders out there in the moutain biking community would share their thoughts on what's the best light for night riding on our awesome singletracks here in the Tahoe basin? -Hans

In case you were not aware, the Northstar® Resort's Bike + Hike Park will be open Thursday, Sept. 3 - Monday, Sept. 7 for Labor Day Weekend. Following this weekend, the park will be open Friday - Sunday through Oct. 18, weather and conditions permitting.

I heard a rumor last weekend that the trail crew was building a new xc trail to truckee instead of building any new downhill trails or maintaining any existing trails. it seems to me that 95% of the people who ride northstar are downhillers and it is stupid that they are building cross country trails instead of downhill trails. is this true or am i wrong
