Totally agree with Chad, N* is the best venue for DH riding/racing in Norcal by making it USA Cycling it would be a push to bring racers from all around the US.
Aside from sanctioning discussion I strongly suggest N* to make their award ceremony more professional and create a series of races that crowns an overall winner. This will encorage people to hit as many races as possible to become N* DH Champion.

An annual USA Cycling license is only $60 and if you're going to race at Sea Otter or many other races, you'll need one anyway so the license fee shouldn't drive the decision. If it will bring more publicity to N* and translate to more funding for park building and maintenance, I think it'd would be good to have the N* race series sanctioned by USA Cycling.

I think it would be great to increase the exposure of Northstar and it's great race series. It would be great for the riders and great for the resort, so YES have it sanctioned by USA Cycling!

i like the super D idea that sounds super fun. as for the USA cycling thing, im not to excited about doing that, sure its a great vibe for the races and expanding the events but i love the humble ness of the races currently, and anyway, who wants to buy a season pass, as well as a liscense..... i dont...

Friday evening super d would be great, and easy to do after the extended friday hours start. Entry fees could cover one lift ride plus race entry. You could really get a lot of people interested, and the courses could be sick!

I also think that working with usa cycling is the first step in building a relationship with them in hopes of bringing bigger events to Northstar in the future, such as national calendar events and national championships. Let's get on their radar as a great place to have a high caliber event in the near future.

i am not very familiar with USA cycling, but if you guys get sanctioned by them that it would mean that we would have to buy ourselves a license in order to race. and if i am right, the whole point of the USA cycle sanctioning is to provide the site, northstar, with a contract that covers the liabilities of racing. don't you need to sign a contract to get a season pass at northstar? i could be wrong, please correct me.
